A cross cut into an old wood door, rendered in sleek modern metal, opening onto a blazing New England hillside - rustic subject, contemporary finish.
The Photograph
I found this door on a New England backroad in October, drawn to its hand-forged iron scrollwork and the cross shape cut through its center. Through that opening, a white farmhouse with a red roof sits tucked into a hillside turning gold, rust, and crimson. Printed on aluminum, the image takes on a subtle luminosity - the autumn colors glow, and the wood grain reads sharper and more vivid than on canvas or paper.
Display Ideas
- In a modern living room or entryway
- Paired with industrial or minimalist décor
- As a statement piece in a neutral room
- In a sunroom or bright hallway
A distinctive way to bring a quiet piece of faith and season into a more contemporary home.
This metal print is a dimensional and high-quality piece of art that stands the test of time while remaining easy to clean and care for. The artwork looks luminescent against the wall and the metal base means it’ll last a long time.
