For a moment, the light makes the whole canopy look lit from within.
The Photograph
This metal print captures a live oak alley in the Lowcountry near Savannah, Georgia - a sandy plantation road enclosed by centuries-old oaks, their branches meeting overhead in a canopy of Spanish moss. I photographed this scene as a single shaft of morning sun broke through the leaves and ran the length of the road. Printed directly onto aluminum, the metal surface adds depth to the greens and an almost glowing quality to the light - a modern, glossy finish for an old, quiet Southern scene.
Display Ideas
- In a modern kitchen or dining space, where the sheen catches overhead light
- As a bold statement piece in a minimalist or neutral room
- Paired with black metal accents for a contemporary Southern look
- In a bathroom or humid space, where metal holds up better than paper
This metal print is a dimensional and high-quality piece of art that stands the test of time while remaining easy to clean and care for. The artwork looks luminescent against the wall and the metal base means it’ll last a long time.
• Aluminum metal surface
• MDF Wood frame
• Can hang vertically or horizontally 1/2″ off the wall
• Scratch and fade resistant
• Fully customizable
